Tracey L. Crawley, Proprietor of Crowning Glory Hair Studio has been making people look and feel great for over 25 years.
A Master Stylist and Educator, Tracey enjoys both working behind the chair and teaching the various aspects of Black Hair Care in Private Schools and Nova Scotia Community Colleges (NSCC) throughout the province.
With an eagerness to learn, Tracey has earned the Red Seal Certification in Hair Styling (Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency), graduated from the Master’s Program for Women (North Carolina, USA) and holds a Certificate in Adult Education through Dalhousie University (Nova Scotia), as well as Cash Flow Camp with Inspiring Champions (Sandiego, USA). She is currently enrolled in the MBA (Master’s Business Approach) with the Crossing Christian Church (Nova Scotia), and serves on the Board of Executive Directors for the Cosmetology Association of NS (CANS).
Tracey is educated in many aspects of hair design including Mizani Relaxer System, Design Essentials, Liquid Keratin Professional, Schwarzkopf Law of Color, Babe Hair Extensions, to name a few, and refines her skills through continuous training and upgrading.
Tracey’s had the opportunity to create styles for Neptune Theatre, many Fashion Shows throughout the city, including PHASE – Centre of Arts and Technology, and enjoys lending her time and talents to many community and charitable events in HRM.
With a servant’s heart, Tracey is committed to doing missions in the nation of Haiti. She has partnered with A Cup of Cold Water Project (Drilling Wells for Haiti), and has campaigned for the past nine years in raising funds with her Annual “To Haiti with Love…” Hair Marathon Fund Raiser.
To date, the Team at Crowning Glory has raised funds to drill 2 wells, sponsor 14 children, and a young lady in her 4th year of Law Studies.
Tracey has established a post- secondary scholarship fund (in memory of her Mom, Joyce M. Crawley), for the students on the compound she supports in Haiti. She is involved with assisting a few hair stylists in starting up a hair salon, and is also planning to drill another well on the property where the youth centre is being build.
Tracey believes that “One person cannot do everything; but everyone can do something.”
